Illumine Art Pottery was founded by Brad Lum in 2004. He took his first pottery class in college and has been fascinated by ceramics ever since. He graduated with a degree in the visual arts. Over the past 15 years, he studied various styles and aspects of the ceramic process and was particullarly drawn to the beauty and harmony of the pottery made during the Arts and Crafts movement.
He has demonstrated pottery making at the Middleton Plantation outside of Charleston, South Carolina as well as taught ceramics for the Gibbes Museum in Charleston and at the Soutwest School of Art and Craft in San Antonio, Texas. He is an active member of the San Antonio Potters Guild.
All pots are lovingly made by him, from start to finish, one at a time.
